Chair: Jianhua Tao (nominated by Prof Haizhou Li and Prof Helen Meng)

Jianhua Tao received the M.S. degree from Nanjing University, Nanjing, China, in 1996 and the Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2001. He is currently the Professor and Deputy Director in National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition (NLPR), Chinese Director of Sino-European Laboratory of Informatics, Automation and Applied Mathematics (LIAMA), and the Assistant President of Institute of Automation (CASIA) of Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests include speech recognition and synthesis, human computer interaction, emotional information processing. He has published more than 300 papers in major journals and proceedings, such as IEEE TASLP, IEEE TIP, Speech Communication, Interspeech, ICASSP, ICCV, ICIP, ICME, ICPR, ACII, etc. He received several awards from conferences including Eurospeech2001, CHCI(2013, 2014, 2016, 2017), NCMMSC2014. He was ever served as Vice-Chairperson of the ISCA Special Interest Group of Chinese Spoken Language Processing (SIG-CSLP), and Executive Committee member of the AAAI association. Currently, he also serves as Subject Editor of the Journal of Speech Communication, Steering Committee Member of IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing, Editorial Board Member of Journal on Multimodal User Interface and International Journal on Synthetic Emotions. He has served as the program co-chair of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd International Conference on Affective Computing and Intelligent Interaction (ACII2005, ACII2007 and ACII2009), the 9th International Symposium on Chinese Spoken Language Processing (ISCSLP2014), 2012 International Conference on Speech Prosody, the 21th IEEE Workshop on Machine learning of Signal Processing (IEEE MLSP 2011). He is the general co-chair of The 6th International Conference on Affective Computing and Intelligent Interaction (ACII2015), the financial Chair of International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR2018), the publicity chair of International Conference on Multimodal Interaction (ICMI2011). He has successfully organized some special sessions in Interspeech and will be the TC Co-chair of Interspeech2020. 

Vice Chair: Tan Lee (nominated by Prof P. C. Ching and Prof Helen Meng)

Tan Lee received the degrees of BSc, MPhil and PhD in Electronic Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), in 1988, 1990 and 1996 respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at CUHK, and the Director of the DSP and Speech Technology Laboratory. During 2011-2014, he was the Associate Dean (student affairs) CUHK Faculty of Engineering. Tan Lee has been working on speech and language related research since early 90s. He was a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Speech, Music and Hearing, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, in 1997-1998. In 2001, he was a visiting researcher at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, USA. Tan Lee’s research covers a wide spectrum of topics in speech and language research. He has been collaborating closely with linguists, clinicians, psychologists, and educators, to develop innovative inter-disciplinary applications of speech technology. He was the co-inventor of ACEHearing, an award-winning hearing assistive technology that has been turned into commercial product. Tan Lee is a member of IEEE and a member of the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA). He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE/ACM Transactions on Audio, Speech and Language Processing, and an editorial board member of the EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing. He served as an Area Chair for INTERSPEECH 2014, 2016 and 2018. Tan Lee is an active member of the SIG-CSLP community. He co-organized ISCSLP 2004 and 2012. He was the General Co-Chair of Oriental COCOSDA 2012 and the Technical Programme Co-Chair of ISCSLP 2016. He is the General Co-Chair of ISCSLP 2018.

Secretary: Minghui Dong (Nominated by Prof Jianwu Dang and Prof Haizhou Li)

Dr. Minghui Dong is currently a senior scientist and the head of Voice Analysis and Synthesis Team in Human Language Technology Department, Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Singapore. He also serves as the vice-president of Chinese and Oriental Languages Information Processing Society (COLIPS), a member-at-large of Asian Federation of Natural Language Processing (AFNLP), and the editor-in-chief of International Journal of Asian Language Processing (IJALP). He received BS degree from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), MS degree from Peking University (PKU), and PhD degree from National University of Singapore (NUS). From Jul 1995 to Jul 1998, he worked as a research engineer in Peking University. From Jul 2001 to Nov 2004, he worked as a researcher in Infotalk Technology (Singapore). He joined I2R in Dec 2004. His research interests include speech synthesis, music and singing processing, speech recognition, natural language processing and machine learning methods for language processing. Recently, he is leading the research of natural language understanding for voice synthesis, deep learning technologies for speech and language processing, personalized and expressive speech synthesis, chatbot and dialogue systems, etc. He has co-authored more than 90 research papers in leading conferences and journals, edited 12 books/proceedings. He has been actively contributing to Chinese spoken language processing communities by serving as different roles. He served as program co-chair in ISCSLP 2014, publicity co-chair in ISCSLP 2018. He served in SIG-CSLP workgroup leader for various tasks. He has been maintaining the SIG-CSLP website and the membership list.
